Craft Transforms Lives - Silverback Video LLC

The Craft Alliance—a leader in connecting community and arts in St. Louis—needed a video for their annual Makers Ball fundraising gala. It was important to not only glimpse the masters at work (which is what Craft Alliance is known for), but also bring to light the community outreach that people may not realize they provide.

Silverback was welcomed into the studios of artists-in-residence. Granted an insiders look into the woodwork, ceramics, glass, and metals studios, we watched master craftspeople make art pieces right in front of our eyes—and the camera! We were invited into the classroom where teachers inspired the next generation of creators. All this came together into the video you see here.

Craft Alliance Center of Art + Design

Client

The Craft Alliance Center is a creative space where they host gallery exhibitions along with classes, workshops, summer camps, and fashion events.

Project Requirements

Craft Alliance requested a video that tugs on the heart strings and reveals the inspiring programs people may not know Craft Alliance Provides. Craft alliance wanted the video to focus on art programs provided to city school kids, one-on-one interviews with teachers and speakers as well as showing classes in action with kids participating in different art projects. This video was made to be shown at Craft Alliance’s annual fundraising event.

Solution

Silverback produced, directed and shot live classes in action along with interviews of school teachers as well as Craft Alliance Staff. Silverback also shot b-roll of different crafts to showcase the variety of different things that can be created at the Craft Alliance Center. Silverback also contributed extensive post-production work including editing, animation, and sound mastering along with voice over recording.
